Syed Bhais is the gold standard metering company in Pakistan. Starting as a private limited company in 1953, it was initially a trading company involved in the import and sales of domestic appliances from Westinghouse, USA and Grundig, Germany. Syed Bhais pioneered the introduction of transistor radios by introducing the Japanese Rising transistor to Pakistan. Keeping abreast with technology, the company established Pakistan’s first KWh meter manufacturing unit in 1959 securing its first order from WAPDA in early 1960.

Our past affiliations include G.E Power Management, G.E Energy and G.E Multilin, which merged into Digital Energy in G.E, USA. We set up one of the first Bulb and Tube light manufacturing plants in Pakistan developing renowned brands such as Kumho (Korea), Phillips, Litex and Roshnee. Our other affiliations include CMEC, China and Landis & Gyr, Switzerland.
